ABOUT ME
Art has been a constant in my life since before I can remember. Growing up, I spent years learning under incredible mentors like Viruchy, Maureen Seeba, Louisa Grandchamp, Nancy McMillan, and Megan Martin. Their guidance helped shape me into the artist I am today, pushing me to refine my skills and ultimately build a college portfolio that led me to the University of Texas as a Fine Arts major.
However, as I began working more on projects for school and application portfolios, I felt my passion for creating start to shift. I wanted to reimagine creativity with a more practical approach. Craving a balance of creativity and business, I transferred to UT’s advertising program and added a business minor. I immersed myself in the Texas Creative program, a rigorous advertising portfolio curriculum, and joined the Texas Immersive Institute to explore the world of immersive technologies like VR and AR. These programs gave me a new perspective on connecting with audiences and crafting experiences through design, further enhancing my graphic design skills and business acumen. Yet, I was still searching for something more.
The summer after my sophomore year was transformative. I traveled to New York to attend Parsons’ summer intensive in graphic design and fashion design visual communications. This experience gave me an incredible creative reset. The graphic design course was a natural fit, aligning with my advertising work at UT, but it was the fashion design visual communications course that truly reignited my passion. For the first time, I could see a future where fashion was no longer a distant dream but a career I could pursue with purpose and skill.
Guided by the incredible Laura Volpintesta and surrounded by peers who shared the same passion, I was inspired to push my creative boundaries and reimagine my goals. Through challenging projects and deep exploration, I found a confidence I hadn’t experienced before. Parsons gave me clarity, a sense of direction, and the courage to pursue fashion.
This portfolio showcases my work from all stages of this journey. I hope you enjoy experiencing this creative evolution as much as I’ve enjoyed making it.
